Our Western saddle blankets offer premium quality for both leisure and professional riders. Whether you’re looking for a solid-colored blanket, a Navajo blanket, or a high-quality, patterned show saddle blanket – here you’ll find the perfect cover for your purpose.

Size Selection

Blankets should always be slightly larger than the saddle pad underneath and at least 3–4 inches (8–10 cm) longer than the saddle. Measure the length of your saddle or pad along the spine in cm and use the filter function to select the correct size. The sizes are displayed in both inches and centimeters, or you can simply divide your cm measurement by 2.54 and browse through the products.

The dimensions of the saddle blankets are always given in inches depending on the manufacturer for Mayatex, Mustang and Dale Chavez as width across the back x length along the spine and length x width for Weaver EquineCashel und Professional's Choice .

Caring for Wool Saddle Blankets

Regularly brush off hair, dirt, and sweat gently with a soft or medium-stiff horsehair brush to prevent buildup. Hang the blanket in a well-ventilated area to dry after use. Avoid leaving it damp or rolled up, as this can cause mold or mildew. If you ride often, rotate between a few blankets to reduce wear and extend the life of each blanket.

Occational Deep Cleaning:

  • Hand-wash with cold water and a mild wool-safe soap.
  • Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners that can damage the wool fibers.
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
  • Lay the blanket flat or hang it over a rail in the shade to air dry.
  • Avoid direct sunlight (which can fade colors) and never machine dry, as this can cause shrinkage or felting.

Store the blanket in a cool, dry place. Before long-term storage, ensure it is completely clean and dry.
