1. Scope and Contract Conclusion
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts, deliveries, and services between Tack’n’Ride Bécheiraz, Felix Bécheiraz, Altmannsteinstrasse 36, 8181 Höri, Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) and its customers.
They apply to orders via the webshop on tacknride.com as well as purchases at the Tack’n’Ride Westernstore, Illnauerstrasse 9, 8307 Effretikon. By placing an order or making a purchase, the customer accepts these GTC. Separate pages provide more detailed information on data protection and return conditions, which are accepted along with these GTC.
2. Offers and Prices
All offers in the webshop and in-store are non-binding. Price and product assortment changes, technical changes, and errors are reserved. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) including statutory VAT, currently 8.1% or 2.6% unless stated otherwise.
3. Payment Terms
Payments can be made in advance, by credit card, TWINT, Postfinance Card, or other methods available in the webshop such as PayPal. The Company may restrict certain payment options.
For business customers or by agreement, payment by invoice is possible. Invoices must be paid within 10 days without deduction.
In case of late payment, interest of 5% p.a. and the following reminder fees apply:
1st reminder: CHF 10.–, 2nd reminder: CHF 20.–. After that, the claim may be transferred to a debt collection agency. Additional costs will be charged to the customer. Legal collection steps may follow.
4. Delivery, Shipping, and Pickup
Delivery is made to the address provided by the customer. Partial deliveries are permitted. Shipping costs are shown separately during checkout.
The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when the shipment is handed over to the carrier. Optional shipping insurance is available; costs vary depending on the provider and are shown during checkout.
The customer must inspect the shipment upon receipt and report any damage directly to the shipping carrier.
Alternatively, the goods can be picked up at the Effretikon store during business hours. For in-store pickup, the customer will receive an email when the order is ready. Payment on-site is not possible.
5. Data Protection
The processing of personal data is subject to the privacy policy, available at: https://www.tacknride.com/en/content/2-data-protection
6. Warranty
The legal warranty period is 2 years from delivery. Defects must be reported in writing without delay. The Company will decide whether to repair, replace, or issue a partial refund. A right of withdrawal is excluded.
For feed and supplements, the warranty applies only until the best-before date. No liability for improper storage, application errors, or individual animal reactions.
7. Cancellation and Withdrawal
Cancellation by the customer is only possible with the Company’s approval. For custom-made products, incurred costs must be reimbursed.
The Company may cancel orders without reason — e.g., in the event of supply shortages, pricing errors, or suspected misuse.
8. Voluntary Return Policy
In addition to statutory rights, the Company offers a voluntary 14-day return policy from date of purchase or receipt. Returned goods must be unused, in original packaging, complete, and resellable.
The following are excluded from returns: discounted items, custom-made products, used goods, bits, feed, liquids.
Returns in-store require the original receipt. Returns by post are at the customer’s risk and expense. Full details can be found at: https://www.tacknride.com/en/content/6-warranty-and-returns
9. Credit Notes
Returned goods are refunded via store credit. Cash refunds are excluded. In case of cancellation by the Company or by exception, a refund to the original payment method may be issued.
Transaction fees and a flat administrative fee of CHF 10.– may be deducted unless the error lies with the Company.
10. Retention of Title
Goods remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Jurisdiction is Bülach, Switzerland.
12. Severability Clause
If any provision of these GTC is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid clause will be replaced by one that best reflects the original intent. This also applies to any contractual gaps.
In case of discrepancies between the German and English versions of these terms, the German version shall prevail.
