How to Select the Correct SMB II Boot Size
The boots bit both front and hind legs. Usually the size of the hind legs is on size bigger than the front, however it could also be the same. Use the following procedure to select the right size for your horse.
- Measure the circumference of your horse's fetlocks
Use a flexible measuring tape to measure around the center of the fetlocks. Record the measurement in centimeters (cm). Refer to the image on the right to see where to place the tape. - Compare the measurement to the sizing chart
Use the SMB II sizing chart linked above to determine which size your measurement corresponds to. - Select one size larger than the measured size
To ensure a comfortable and secure fit, always choose an SMB II boot that is one size larger than your horse’s actual measurement. This compensates for the boot's snug design.
