Complementary feed for horses without cereal starch
This unique mixed feed is energy‑rich yet low in starch. It was originally developed for horses with PSSM or tying‑up issues. Today, we also use Lumbago for many sport horses to promote relaxed muscles and support their ability to concentrate. Thanks to its composition, Lumbago is also an ideal feed for endurance horses.
The glycaemic index is very low, yet Lumbago still provides the energy and nutrients required for this high‑performance discipline. No compromises were made when it comes to added vitamins and trace elements. Lumbago is one of the few feeds that contains natural — rather than synthetic — vitamin E. The trace elements are also included in an organic, highly bioavailable form.
- Extremely high in calories – ideal for training and competition
- Supports electrolyte and water storage
- Perfect for endurance horses (low glycaemic index)
- Suitable for young horses (fewer joint issues such as OCD)
- Reduced in carbohydrates and therefore suitable for horses prone to tying‑up, PSSM, or metabolic syndrome
- For “hot” or easily excited horses
- Ideal for putting weight on underweight horses
- Effective against gastric ulcers and crib‑biting when used together with Preventer

Horse with 500 kg body weight:
