5 Star Pad Care & Cleaning Tips
Taking care of your 5 Star Western Pad:
Remove excess hair carefully with a 5 Star sponge or soft rubber curry comb after each ride.
Wash your 5 Star Pad after 40–50 hours of riding or when it begins to feel hard in certain areas.
You can soak your pad in a tub of water for 6–12 hours if there’s caked-on hair, dirt, or sweat. Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry.
Never use a pressure washer. Rinse gently from the center outwards until the water runs clear. Use lukewarm water (never hot) and, if needed, a pH-neutral soap for cleaning.
Air dry in the sun if possible, or in a well-ventilated area with plenty of airflow after use.
Do not store in an airtight space — always keep your pad in a well-ventilated area.
Do not place anything on top of the pad during storage.
